  • $76.50 NZD

This unique combination of herbs, earth-based nutrients, probiotics and mannan oligosaccharide, helps assist digestion, absorption, and utilisation of feed.  Contains Aloe Vera Powder which is an important building block in the normal tissue repair process of the gastrointestinal system.

Even under the best management program, a horse can develop equine gastric ulcers from the stress of travel, stabling, competitions, separation anxiety and injuries. Supplementing with a nutritional supplement can help along with veterinary medication and diet changes.

Ulzeraide Plus is the ultimate nutritional supplement that helps supports the Gastrointestinal system and contains a mycotoxin binder (Meriden Fusion DYAD) to aid in the management of negative effects of feed borne mycotoxins.

If your horse experiences any of these symptoms below, your horse could be deficient in nutrients which they are not receiving through their diet and would really benefit from Ulzeraide Plus as a daily supplement.

Sally Neil - November 2021

I have been using Ulzeraide Plus for 2 weeks now and the change in my hack has been huge.
Whilst he has been treated for Ulcers and had no reason to have them again, he was girthy and grumpy. Within 3 days of adding Ulzeraide Plus to his feed his eye softened and he was much happier when being tacked up. We travelled away for a show and he travelled and coped much better with the atmosphere and did not require his usual calmer prior to travelling. Ulzeraide Plus  has made a huge difference in a very short time and will be a staple in my feed regime going forward.

If you are looking to try some new supplements for your horses look no further!
I have been using Power Star Nutrition
, Ulzeraide Plus and Pazture Mag and absolutely love them.

Ulzeraide Plus is amazing for keeping my boys tummies happy, during the season their bodies are put under stress and dietary changes, this can upset the gastrointestinal system and lead to ulcers. Ulzeraide Plus supports the gastrointestinal system and prevents ulcers as well as containing a mycotoxin binder to manage the negative effects of feed borne mycotoxins.

The Pazture Mag contains magnesium and thiamine (B1) which replace what is lacking in the grass, this allows my horses to feel relaxed and focused for both at home training and competition.
The Power Star Nutrition products are all produced within the FEI swabbing regulations and are of the highest quality  😊 . Thank you Sophie Alexander.

Alice Yvonne Cochran - Auckland - March 2020

My 15 year old mare Jazz has been using Power Star Nutrition supplements for 4 years now. In 2016 I contacted Rachel for nutritional advice and started Jazz on Pazture Mag and Ulzeraide Plus. It literally worked on her within 3 days of feeding. Her temperament changed dramatically and was a pleasure to ride. She went from spooking at her shadow to relaxed and rideable.
I then added ‘Ease Up’ for her joints as she was always a bit stiff starting out on a ride. This too has had an amazing effect on her. She feels so much softer through her body! And is much happier in her work. Yay! 🦄🙌🏻
I also started my mare Jay on the supplements. Jay's coat is amazing! She won best Rheinland Mare last week on the Hanoverian tour! The judges were all very impressed with her shining coat and dapples.
The girls have been so happy and relaxed the past month.

The risk of gastric ulcers is high for horses even under the best management program. Alongside dietary changes and veterinary treatment, supplements are an effective way to keep your horse’s digestion working the way it should. Try Ulzeraide Plus, our mycotoxin binder for horses, available at Power Star Nutrition.

Equine gastric ulcers can develop from stressors such as stabling, separation anxiety, travel, competitions, and injuries. The prevalence of gastric ulcers varies depending on the breed and use of your horse. Whereas home horses who are not competing have only an 11% risk, horses in training have an 80-100% chance of contracting an ulcer at some point.

At Power Star Nutrition, we are committed to the health of horses. We design our natural supplements to deliberately aid your horse’s gut health because we believe that well-being starts at the core.

A Premium Mycotoxin Binder for New Zealand Horses

Support your horse’s gastrointestinal system with the ultimate nutritional supplement. Mycotoxins pose an immense risk to your horse’s health. They have the potential to cause immunosuppression, organ damage, reproduction issues, and death. With a mycotoxin binder, you can manage the negative effects of feed-borne mycotoxins in your horse.

Ulzeraide Plus is a natural blend of earth-based nutrients, herbs, probiotics, and more. It helps aid digestion, absorption, and utilization of food. Aided with aloe vera powder, it also functions as a building block in normalizing tissue repair processes in the gastrointestinal system.

Horses going through competition seasons endure immense pressure and levels of stress. Exercise increases the pressure in the horse’s stomach, which can lead to ulcers. With the help of Ulzeraide Plus, you can help your horse maintain a calm and well-functioning digestive system, thereby preventing ulcers.

Knowing when your horse needs supplements

If you notice your horse exhibiting any of the below symptoms, it may be deficient in nutrients. Think about incorporating Ulzeraide Plus into its diet to benefit your horse’s digestion and immunity. For all-around horse health, you can buy our MSM and vitamin Csupplement to strengthen your horse’s hooves and joints. Any of the below symptoms could indicate a stomach ulcer. Regardless of whether your horse has an ulcer or not, we are sure that you don’t want to see your horse suffering from any of these. Digestive and gastric issues can be the cause of many equine ailments.

Abdominal pain

Colicky horses tend to have a poor appetite. If your horse is eating slowly, not finishing meals or eating hay, showing signs of weight loss or an overall poor condition, then it is probably experiencing pain when eating. You might notice that your horse has a bloated stomach.

Depression

Noticeable signs of depression in horses include spooky behaviour - such as quick movements and avoiding eye contact - and tension in the face and jaw. Alternatively, your horse may seem withdrawn and unresponsive.

Aggression

If your horse is resistant to grooming, biting, kicking, holding its ears back, and swishing its tail, it is under some stress that manifests as aggressive behaviour. It might buck when you try to ride it.

Difficulty with movement

Signs that your horse is in pain when moving are poor athletic performance, reluctance to move forwards, tension when ridden, difficulty bending, and a stiff neck and shoulders.

Why horses benefit from mycotoxin binders

Mycotoxin binders for horses function to prevent sickness and loss of life if they unwittingly consume toxic substances. Keeping toxins from affecting your horse’s body will immensely benefit its well-being.

You can further reduce your horse’s risk of ingesting harmful toxins by maintaining high hygiene standards when cleaning its feed troughs and hay storage containers. If your horse shows signs of sickness, we strongly suggest that you consult your veterinarian.

Another main cause of gastric ulcers in horses is stress, a lot of which we can control through our behaviour as responsible owners.

By limiting anxiety-inducing situations such as travel and intense training, we can provide our horses with a calm and secure environment.

The combination of mycotoxins and natural supplementing factors in Ulzeraide Plus maintain good gut health in your horse and protect it from harm. Ensuring that your horse keeps a healthy and nutritious diet is one of the best things you can do as an owner.

No horse lover can stand seeing their horse suffer.

The physical and mental health of your horse links to what it eats.

At Power Star Nutrition, we believe that gut health for horses is the keystone to their overall well-being. By starting at the core, we aim to improve your horse’s joint and muscle function, quality of life, and energy levels, while decreasing the chance of illness and injury.

Prevent your horse from suffering gastric ulcers or ingesting toxins with the mycotoxin binder for horses that we provide at Power Star Nutrition.

See your horse thrive happily and healthily with Ulzeraide Plus!
